About Dr. Stang Dr. Christine Stang has a zeal for orthodontics like nobody else! For her, this is much more than just a job. It’s a way to share her enthusiasm with her patients. She knew she wanted to be an orthodontist the moment her own braces came off. She took one look at her new smile in the mirror and she was hooked. A lifelong native of Virginia, Dr. Stang grew up in the Shenandoah Valley. After graduating from James Madison University, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, summa cum laude, from the Medical College of Virginia (MCV). Following dental school, Dr. Stang completed an additional two years of specialized post-graduate training in orthodontics and earned her Master of Science in Dentistry degree from MCV. She lives in the area with her husband, two sons, and fur-child. You might spot them walking around the lakes in Reston or on one of the trails in Great Falls. Dr. Stang is passionate about giving back to our community. Through her volunteer work with Reston Smile Partners, she cares for local patients who cannot afford orthodontic treatment. She feels very fortunate to be able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and adults she treats. Her favorite aspects of practicing orthodontics are the wonderful relationships she forms with her patients and the positive changes that come with successful care and treatment. Dr. Stang’s goal for your treatment is to achieve results that garner compliments for a lifetime!
