Soft tissue laser therapy can be used to accelerate treatment or to improve your smile by evening out your gum line. Dr. Stang uses her laser on kids as young as 8 so don’t worry, it’s a piece of cake. Gummy smile: Dental lasers can reshape gum tissue to expose healthy tooth structure and improve the appearance of a gummy smile. Tooth exposures: Dental lasers can be used to expose a tooth that is stuck under the gums. So instead of waiting 6-9 months (or forever) for a tooth to break through, in certain cases Dr. Stang can utilize a laser to remove the thick gum tissue which breaks the barrier and allows the tooth to erupt naturally.
